Last Sunday the U13 Boro Boys and Girls travelled to the annual Dorry Murray Tournament hosted by the very hospitable Faughβs GAA Club in Dublin. A great day was had in the sunshine. The Girls qualified 1st from their group with good wins over the hostβs Faughβs, Ballinteer (Dublin) & Monaleen (Limerick) and met Harps of Durrow Co. Laois in the finals where they ran out 2-6 to 0-0 winners. The boys also qualified 1st from their group with 2 wins over Castleknock (Dublin), Harps (Laois) and a draw against Na Fianna (Dublin). In the boys final they met Monaleen of Limerick and after a very competitive match the boys won out 5-5 to 2-9
This is an excellent national tournament at U13 age level and we have been fortunate as a club to have been invited along since its inception in 2016. Dicksboro have previously won it in 2016 (Camogie) and 2018 (Hurling). We would like to extend a word of thanks to our hostβs Faughβs for the great organisation and hospitality on the day.
Well done to all the boys and girls and mentors on your efforts. Captains Jack Delaney & Emma Hogan, the two cups and both teams where received to great applause in Palmerstown on Sunday evening.
