Kilkenny Recreation & Sports Partnership have a fantastic opportunity for young people in your club to volunteer on our Inclusive Summer programme. I would very much appreciate if you could circulate this in your club please.

Kilkenny Recreation & Sports Partnership Inclusive Summer Camp programme caters for children who require additional support to engage in activities, this may be because of a physical, sensory or a learning disability. The inclusive summer camps give children a chance to take part in a fun summer camp in a supported environment. We are looking for Youth Volunteers for July 2023 and you can help!

Under the supervision of an Activity Leader, the role of the Youth Volunteer will be to encourage enjoyment, fun & plenty of smiles while helping children to ensure maximum engagement in activities. KRSP runs 4 separate Inclusive Summer Camps in Kilkenny City in July (Watershed - 10th to 14th; 17th to 21st from 9.30 to 2pm; GAA Cúl Camp in MW Hire Centre,  Dunmore on July 25th and 26th from 10 to 12.30pm and swim camp in the Watershed from July 31st to August 4th 10am to 12pm). In the application, please indicate the camps the youth volunteer will be available for. 

PLEASE FEEL FREE TO VOLUNTEER FOR AS MANY CAMPS AS POSSIBLE - THE MORE VOLUNTEER TIME - THE MORE CHILDREN GET TO ENJOY THE CAMPS!

In return the youth volunteer will receive training, be supported by KRSP staff and activity leaders, and have a rewarding and fun experience with people of their own age while supporting children with additional needs to have a fun summer camp.  The link to register (through their parent / guardian) is: https://krsp2023youthvolunteersummer.eventbrite.ie
